Contrary to the title of the series – HEREANDNOW at Museum Ludwig – the exhibition Home Visit took place outside the museum in private homes throughout Cologne. In this way, the exhibition signalised that the Museum Ludwig is not only at home in its own domicile, but also with the city’s residents. On view were new, site-specific works by six international artists, including Marwa Arsanios, åyr, and Pia Camil, who addressed the respective living spaces. In particular, our conceptions of privacy, intimacy, and hospitality were examined and renegotiated.
