Haegue Yang: ETA 1994-2018
In 2018, the Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst awarded the Wolfgang Hahn Prize to Haegue Yang. On this occasion, the Museum Ludwig presents Haegue Yang: ETA 1994–2018, the artist’s first survey exhibition, featuring the diversity of her entire oeuvre. It is designed as visual tour through the exhibition. The laudation by Christina Végh offers an excellent introduction to Yang’s oeuvre. A brief text by Yilmaz Dziewior is devoted to Yang’s Mountains of Encounter. The Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst jointly acquired this 2008 installation—one of Yang’s first fully articulated venetian-blind installations—together with the museum for the collection. The publication accompanies the catalogue raisonné published by the Museum Ludwig on the occasion of the exhibition.
